Santa's Wrist Warmers Knitting Kit
Santa's Wrist Warmers Knitting Kit
Father Christmas gets a bit chilly out there delivering all the presents so I've designed him this lovely pair of wrist warmers.
These stranded colourwork wrist warmers are worn as wrist-cuffs rather than mitts, meaning there is no shaping and they are quick and simple to knit. An excellent first “fair isle” project. The bobbles are optional – just knit that stitch plain if you prefer!
This knitting kit includes a digital download copy of Nicky Jerrome's santa-hat wrist warmers pattern and enough yarn to make your pair of wrist warmers. The main colour and red of the hats are BC Garn Loch Lomond organic tweed wool and the white fluffy yarn is Isager Soft, a fluffy alpaca/cotton blend.
The pattern requires 4mm needles - whichever your preferred method for knitting small circumferences in the round. I used 80cm long circular needles for magic loop, but you can use double pointed needles or a 25cm short circular if you prefer. If you need to add needles, they can be selected below.
*N.B. I have made the wrist warmers all on one needle size, but if you prefer your ribbing to be a bit tighter you can use 3.5mm needles for the ribbing.
